Seven on Sunday

1.  I'm having a really hard time getting in to the Christmas season.  Like no Holiday cheer at all...  But I do love celebrations and I have a two year who is in love with all Christmas lights.  So tonight we put up the Christmas tree (its the 12th and I'm just putting up my tree?!?!) and the whole time he kept saying "oh wow! light!"... so adorable and he makes everything Merry and Bright... so onward and upward we go with the festivities.

2. For the first time in four years I didn't do my Girlfriends Christmas Party... I'm so sad that I didn't... but I just couldn't pull it together this year. And something about lacking holiday cheer.  Maybe I'll get it together and we'll do a Valentine's day one.  Maybe.

3. We're totally in to web camming these days.  And by we I mean Buddy.  He loves it!  He points at the screen and says "talk!"... so we talk to Grandma Francks and Calivn and Auntie Em and Auntie Carrie and Grandma and Papa and the Duncan's.  

The funniest is to talk to our cousin Calvin... the whole time he says "Joey can you say ball?  Joey can you Calvin? Joey can you say Autumn? Joey can you say Mama"  and on and on and on... it gives me the giggles...

4.  My beloved camera died.  My big nice camera.  We've been inseparable for five years now.  But the day after Thanksgiving it decided to give up and go to Camera heaven.  Maybe it was tired of my picture a day project?  RIP sweet camera.  You've been the best friend ever!

But... I needed a camera.  Really. I mean... hello... it's me!  So I bought a new camera.  I'm absolutely sure that's what Dave Ramsey had in mind when he had me put away money in an emergency fund. 

5.  Me and a friend were asked to plan our church Christmas party this Saturday.  It's been awhile since I've planned a planned a Christmas Party this big.  Wish me luck. 

6. This is our favorite fudge recipe... its super easy and perfect for a Sunday night chocolate fix.  I'm sure its not the world's best fudge... but with two ingredients its no effort... which makes it the worlds best fudge... Sometimes we use butterscotch chips instead.  Awesome.

2 Minute Fudge

1 package of chocolate chips

1 can of sweetened condensed milk

Mix and microwave for 1 1/2- 2 min. Stir until blended. Add 1t. of vanilla (and nuts if desired)

Refrigerate.

6.  There's this neat little Church that puts on this program called "Bethlehem Revisited"... they have Bethlehem set up with camels and donkey's and Joseph and Mary and a mean King Herod (who has a strooooong Texas accent!)... we've wanted to go for years and Saturday we finally made the trek to Bethlehem.

But it took us longer than our GPS said it would.  And we took the wrong exit which added another 30 minutes.  So it took us almost three hours to get there.  We found an awesome parking spot and I went to get Buddy out of his car seat and found he'd had a diaper explosion.  It was so bad that we had to give up our parking spot and go find a Walmart and buy him new pants.  We got back and found a horrible parking spot and finally made it in.

But by the time we got inside it was soooooooooooooo crowded.  Way too crowded.  We couldn't get in to any of the shops.  You couldn't really see any of the little programs that were going on.  Way too crowded.  We were there less than an hour and started the 2 1/2 hour trek home.  So not that magical evening I had envsioned. But we got to talk and were together for the whole day so it was still totally worth it.
